The Gesundheitsdrehscheibe is a new healthcare hub on Annenstrasse 28 offering free health advice & support for everyone, even without insurance or those not legally residing in Austria and in multi-languages. If they can’t speak your language they can organise a video Interpretator. The team consists of four community nurses, a social worker, a psychotherapist and a physiotherapist. They also work closely with other organisations such those supporting mental health. It’s a great place to visit if you are struggling to negotiate the Austrian healthcare system, can’t access services or therapies, having trouble communicating to doctors in German, dealing with chronic health problems, overwhelmed by a diagnosis  or struggling to get support for mental health issues. They can also offer intensive personal health management support for 4- 6 months (liaising with your Hausartz) and help with psychotherapy and with a doctor’s prescription physiotherapy. Advice on health promotion and prevention is also offered for example diet, exercise, stress or addiction. They can suggest leisure and cultural activities, support groups etc.
