The city of Graz offers a range of kids sport courses for only €10! during the school holidays plus a weekend ski course (5x) and semester long swimming courses. You can see the 2020 brochure here.

Weekly courses include skiing Feb 17 – 21 (8 – 16 years) and for the Easter (April 6 – 10) and Autumn (Oct 27 – 30) breaks – Badminton, Billiards, kickboxing, squash, dancing, tennis, table tennis (see course descriptions for age ranges), in summer there are 48 courses to choose from! (summer brochure coming out in May).

2 weekly swimming courses start in April and run through June (5 – 8 yrs Tuesdays and 9 – 15 yrs Wednesdays) at Union Bad swimming pool. And again Sept 29 until Dec 9.

There is also a 5 weekend ski course that just started for 8 – 16 year olds (Saturdays Jan 11, 18, 25 und Feb 1, 8). Registration is technically still open until Jan 16th but I assume at only €10 the course is full! But good to remember for next year 🙂 .

Places are limited and go fast. To be eligible you must have your main residence in Graz. If you want to sign up on-line, be sure to sign up for an account at partner.venuzle.at/sportamt-graz at least 4 days before registration opens so that it will be confirmed and active by the start of registration. Or you can register in person at the Sportamt (remember to bring your Graz residency documents for you and your children).
