There are several flexible chilcare options in Graz for parents looking for childcare by the hour instead of a full time daycare place or have a sick child at home. This may also be an option for parents who were unable to get a kinderkrippe or kindergarten place.
The City of Graz also offers 20 hours per week subsidy for flexible childcare at eligible providers. You have to apply and the subsidy rate depends on your income. You will then receive a Sammelpass which the childcare provider will stamp each visit and you can then submit for the subsidy payment.
