Social Events for Sept!

Some fun social events for this month where you can meet other international English speaking friendly people!

Thursdays, 8 pmEnglish speaking Stammtish at the Die Herzl, Prokopigasse 12

Held by the English Speakers in Graz – Anglo-Austrian Circle club, this is a regular meet up every Thursday, newcomers welcome! No registration needed, just turn up and look for the English speaking table.

Fridays, 9 am – 12 pm (Starting Sept 24) Base International Playgroup, Seddwell Center, Dreihackengasse 32

English speaking care givers with babies and small children meet regulary at the Seddwell Center* to hang out and play with toys. This is a members group but anyone is welcome to visit once or twice to check it out.

Friday 6 pm, September 10th: Potluck dinner at the Seddwell Center*, Dreihackengasse 32.

Bring a dish to share and meet a fun group of people at this great international culture center in Gries. Registration is necessary either on the facebook event or by email to office@seddwellcenter.at.

Tuesday, 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm, September 14, Open Play on Kaiserfeldstrasse for parents and kids!

Sara Crockett will be hosting a get-together at this fun kids events for international parents and their kids. Just look for the English speaking group . -The whole street is closed off and full of activities and games (recommended for kids under 6 yrs).

The IWA (International Womens Association) is a wonderfully friendly group of English speaking women from 38 countries. They meet regulary for a monthly happy hour drinks, coffee morning and evening event. Plus they have a book club, Lean in Circle, kids playgroup and lots of other fun events. You can see what’s coming up in September here. Due to corona measures, they ask for registration before attending – (email iwagraz@gmail.com).The IWA is a members group with an annual membership fee of €35 (€30 after the first year) but visitors are very welcome to come to an event or two to check it out first.

Date TBA – English childrens book reading and craft activity, Graz public library. Sara Crockett will be holding 2 sessions a month October – December at libaries around Graz. A great way to meet other English speaking parents. Registration with a library card is needed. Keep a look out for the autumn Labuka calendar for dates (should be published soon)

*The Seddwell Center is a great international cultural center in Gries – a ‘home-from-home’ with lots of English speaking events, language courses and more. Base Verein Membership is currently only €35 (corona special) and gives access to a great community, discounts and special member only events.
