
Here are some of my personal recommendations for affordable German classes currently being held on-line and in-person. Plus free drop-in German conversation groups and support with German learning.
Sabine at Seddwell Learning offers on-line classes (€10 Seddwell Members / €15 non-members). Sabine customises each class for the participants and makes learning German fun! Small class sizes too.
A2 online Mondays 3.30 pm – 4.30 pm (first class Sept 14)
B1 online Tuesdays 3.30 pm – 4.30 pm (first class Sept 15)
B2 online Tuesdays 5 pm – 6 pm (first class Sept 15)
C1 online Wednesdays 11 am – 12 pm (first class Sept 16)
Urania have new German courses starting in person end of September for all levels. I can recommend Martin Stocker’s classes – he’s good fun!
The Volkshochshule in Graz have German courses for all levels starting in October. Especially affordable when you use your €60 Bildungsscheck!
If you are looking for private classes, I can highly recommend my German teacher Kathrin Schmelzer-Ziringer. She is currently offering on-line classes and personalises all her lessons for her clients based on their interests. She is a very patient teacher and good rates too!
The Mehrgenerationenhaus in Waltendorf hold a free Tuesday German conversation group 15:15 – 16:15.
The Frauenservice are also offer free German conversation groups (Tuesday 1 pm and Thursdays 9 am).
Nowa at Jakominiplatz offers a free German class on Tuesdays 9 – 11.30 am for women on the following dates – 22.09, 6.10, 20.10, 03.11, 17.11, 01.12
Büro der Nachbarschaften in Gries offers free assistance with your German homework on Thursdays 5 – 7 pm.
Grätzeltreff in Geidorf also offers free help with your German learning on Mondays 9 – 10 am.
GRAZ Language Exchange Meetup meet Thursdays 7 – 10 pm at Mi Casa and offer the chance to speak and practice in German, as well as French, Italian, Spanish, English and Russian!
