Here are some of my personal recommendations for affordable German classes currently being held on-line and in-person.
Sabine at Seddwell Learning is currently offering on-line classes (€10 Seddwell Members / €20 non-members). You can join in at any time. Sabine customises each class for the participants and makes learning German fun! Small class sizes too.
Deutsch online B2/C1 Wednesdays 9 – 10:30 am
Deutsch online B1/B2 Wednesdays 11 – 12:30 am
A2/B1 online Deutschkurs Fridays 9 – 10:30 am
Deutsch online Konversation (B1 +) Wednesdays 5 – 6 pm
Urania have new German courses starting in person first week of June for all levels running in the evenings twice a week for 5 weeks €58 – €99 (cost depends on number of particpants).
The Mehrgenerationenhaus in Waltendorf are holding their free Tuesday German conversation group again (in person) 15:15 – 16:15.
The Frauenservice are also offering their free German conversation groups on-line (Tuesday 1 pm and Thursdays 9 am).
If you are looking for private classes (or sign up with a friend!) I can highly recommend my German teacher Kathrin Schmelzer-Ziringer. She is currently offering on-line classes and personalises all her lessons for her clients. She is a lovely person and a very patient teacher.
The Volkshochshule in Graz are also thinking about offering intensive summer courses on-line, so keep a look out for further information (I’ll also post an update).
Let me know if you hear of any other good German classes / conversation groups happening now or in the summer!
